The Winning Team – Colleen, Richard Rapoza and Rod Tanonaka!

At the annual Flavors of Honolulu (formerly Taste of Honolulu) benefitting Abilities Unlimited, Senate President Hanabusa and House Speaker Calvin Say participated in the cookoff segment, as they have done in previous years.  This year, they were provided with the same ingredients and told to cook fried rice.  Hanabusa immediately lodged a tongue-in-cheek protest because Say is Chinese.  An hour later, Team Colleen was declared the winner  -- but they both made some delicious fried rice.  Of course, Colleen and her team appeared in Waianae High School t-shirts. Go District 21!!
